The First NFFR Walk for Fertility is in the books!

CCRM 5K edit 2

On Sunday, June 10th nearly 150 men, women and children gathered to Walk for Fertility.  The 5K Walk, held at Highland Heritage Park, raised over $7,000 for NFFR research.

Face painters, caricature/balloon artists, and a great DJ made the event heaps of fun for the entire family!  Participants were also encouraged to walk in costume!

Prior to the start of the walk, a costume contest was held with winners that included a flamenco dancer, a scary alien, and a group of hippies decked out in 70s gear.

All runners/walkers were called to the starting line…on your mark, get set, go!  And they were off.  Some participants blazed through the course and finished in 30 minutes, keeping a blistering pace of a 10 minute mile.  While others preferred to stroll and enjoy the beautiful spring weather.

It was inspirational to see so many families Walking for Fertility!

Lunch, provided by Subway was enjoyed following the 5K Walk.   The participants were excited to eat a healthy sandwich after completing the 3 mile course.

For those of you that were unable to attend we hope to see you at our Bi-Annual 2014 Walk for Fertility!

Look for the 2013 Baby Reunion at the Denver Zoo next summer.
